Named after the Golta peninsula on the island of Flotta, Orkney, this jacket uses patterns found in Orkney ganseys

1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2) cones Frangipani 5 ply wool
3 and 3.5 mm (US 2 and 4) needles
3 buttons, about 1 ins / 25 mm in diameter

24 sts and 32 rows to 4 ins over pattern on 3.5 mm needles after washing and blocking. (One pattern repeat of 27 sts measures 4.5 ins wide.)

The pattern will work with DK yarns but you MUST do a swatch first!
